Don't get it twisted Blacks were in favor of that bill when introduced. Crack was making our neighborhoods into war zones and the dealers would get locked up and then let right back on the street within days doing the same thing We were in favor of the bill.

I don’t think people understand this. The crime bill DEVELOPED to be a terrible idea, but most mayors in black cities (i.e. Atlanta) fought hard to get this passed because of the amount of crime.
-
Agreed! I was living in DC at the time known as Dodge City and the Murder Capital due 2 the rate of homicides due to crack This bill was requested and welcomed by us at the time but youre right it developed into something else that was almost as bad as crack!

In addition: Baden's service to his corporate masters, his dreadful foreign policy, his incompetence in two Presidential runs, his philanthropic scams, & more are detailed here: https://harpers.org/archive/2019/03/joe-biden-record/ … Dems like Biden have been paying the way for Trump for decades.

Joe Biden (D-MBNA) is not progressive on most things. I doubt he is going to try and reign in the financial sector from all its abuses of the people. If I had to, I would vote for him in the general, but I would much prefer others.
-
We certainly need assurances from every candidate in the primaries that they will reign in the financial sector, they will hold these monopolistic enterprises across all sectors to beyond the standard Trump repealed to foster competition, not squash it.

@SenSanders voted for that same crime bill.
-
And the reason he was voting for it was because of the VAWA bill that was attached. He even says in the speech before he signed it that the only reason it's because VAWA.

it's times like this I ask a question of Bernie supporters that I've yet to get a straight answer to: if we should hold Biden and Clinton accountable for the Crime Bill (which Clinton supported but *didn't* sign), why does Bernie get a pass for supporting AND signing it?

Just lik eteh
#BlackCaucus and#BErnieSanders people of all stripes pushed for and voted for the Crime Bill. No one's hands are clean in regards to this. White, black and other politicians did this tot eh black community across the nation. -
Bernie Sanders had a speech before it was approved and he said the only reason why he approved it was because of VAWA. There's a video of it.
-
People across the nation who can say why they voted for XY or Z even though they didn't want to. If the
@DNC , progressives and liberals start attacking each other over the past instead of focusing on today and policies for tomorrow we are going to get another election stolen. -
Yes. But he said it then. People can claim whatever afterwards. But speaking on the reason why BEFORE shows his intent. His speech on what was wrong/what he didn't support on the CB also speaks to that. VAWA was an incredibly important bill that was tied to CB for that reason.

Well currently the DNC are run by Republicans. No literally, they are 1980s Republicans because we've moved so far to the right.pic.twitter.com/9qkI8LpqAn

Each tweet exposes your agenda and each of my replies gets you a little bit more air time so I'm signing off of this convrsation. I hope your ruble bonus for February is hefty. Have a good one.

The only problem with that is a lot you're spreading in McCarthyism smear. Good luck on that one. There are emails their interviews and their conversations who literally say what I said who were involved. Go read Donna brazile book unless you think she's a Russian agent as well

No Biden and No Bernie. Didn't Bernie sign it/vote yes?
-
And Kamala enforced it from 2011 to 2017.
-
Wait. So you mean Kamala Harris enforced the laws when she was AG? How dare she!
