I only now realized something: Meadows mentioned the black members of his family...but described it as something "few people know". I'm a bi-racial man raised in a white family...and *everyone* in my neighborhood & school knew. Why? Maybe because no one was ashamed of it.

Baffling that Representative Cummings defended him. Absolutely mind boggling.

Ironically, the very action he was called out for (using a black person as a prop) is the very thing he did with Cummings as he screamed <paraphrased> "you're my best black friend. Say it, say it, damnit!!!! Say it u black bastard!" <paraphrased>, but really.

Yes that was beyond cringe-inspiring and no one called him out on it and instead he was coddled and given apologies.

He didn't say he had "black" family members. He said "people of color" may not be referring to only black

I mean .. he was crying when he said that, too ....

It doesn’t matter who’s in his family is black or how many black friends he may have doesn’t mean a thing. He’s a racist so own it since he’s already said it and expressed it out loud.
