I live in Seattle. Her perception of what Amazon did to Seattle is wrong.

I come to Seattle often. Depends on who you speak to. But AOC did not run Amazon away here. It's not even her district. Local leaders asked for some meetings and pushed back for a few weeks, then Amazon bailed.

Her response wasn't good mate. She basically celebrated the results and spoke bad about them prior to it happening..

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and let's also not try to forecast folks past their best purpose. She should probably focus on getting herself reelected first.

Nothing is guaranteed in politics and let Tulsi Gabbard be a lesson in leaping before one looks into presidential politics. Democrats need to build a bench, not just throw everyone at the next job.

I agree. I have high hopes for AOC but she has been in Congress for 5m. Let her continue to build a record of great work. I don’t want another sensationalized influencer in the White House. Experience + evidence of a body of great work is what we need.

Let's also not forget how hard the path is to get from the House of Representatives to the White House. Democrats need to elect more governors and lock down more state legislatures, otherwise, having a Democratic president is for naught.

No Governors are really even in the running for POTUS. That's old school.

Yet. Be patient. There's a reason why Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Bush 43 all won. Executive office experience is easier to sell than a long record of legislative votes (which can come back and bite you in the ass). After 2020, get ready for Gavin Newsome for that reason.

Haaang on. Let her get a few years of governing experience first. She has a long career likely ahead of her.
