You don’t really know who Bernie Sanders was in the 1960s. Why it mattered then and why it matters in 2019. From me.https://medium.com/@ShaunKing/you-dont-really-know-who-bernie-sanders-was-in-the-1960s-79628016125f …

If you "hate" Bernie Sanders, frankly it says a lot more about you than it does about him. He's a kind, consistent, reliable man who has dedicated his life to public service and standing up against the machines of power.

If you LOVE having Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, and think that she is competent and capable and badass, but think that Bernie is too old to run for President, you need to check your math. Speaker Pelosi is a year and half older than Bernie.

So proud that
@BernieSanders just hired my friend & brother Faiz Shakir (@fshakir) as campaign manager. Just wow. Faiz is/was the brilliant Political Director for the@ACLU during their greatest years of growth. First Muslim-American manager of a major presidential campaign.Show this thread -
9 months ago a small team of us announced that we would not support any Democratic presidential candidates who failed to have campaign staffs that looked like Democratic voters, from the top down. It’s working. Candidates have the most diverse staffs in American history.

He has failed to hold russia accountable and has his own issues. I don't feel he has the unifying force we need.
-
And he never released his taxes.
-
Only his 2014. I want 8-10 years from any candidate. For 2020, it will be imperative to see 2015 and 2016.
-
Agreed. But he didn’t win the primary, why do you think he needed to release all that info when he didn’t make it to the final two?
-
So we should wait until nominees are chosen to find tax problems and hand it over to the other Party?
-
Exactly, Liz. The problems need to be weeded out early.

Nah! I am not excited. He is part of the reason we have the current nightmare, however if he is the final candidate he will have my vote. I won’t do like his supporters with the
#HillaryClinton hate. I just want#Trump gone! -
Bernie supporters turned out for Hillary in larger numbers than Hillary supporters did for Obama in 2008. I think it was over 90%.
-
88% actually. But even still....how many candidates can boast getting 88% of ANY demographic? 88% in political terms is HUGE. Yet...."we didn't vote for Hillary." they'll say.

Totally disagree. People don’t want to hear it but this is setting up for 2016 all over again. Bernie bros want Bernie or nobody and sit it out when he doesn’t win the primary.
#nope#allthenopes -
Not true. I am Bernie all the way, love the man but its about the policies more than the person and everyone better work together to elect the person most likely to beat Trump. I will work hard for Bernie and then equally as hard for the Dem nominee whether that is him or another

Good Lori, we need more folks like you :)
