I guess people won’t miss high paying jobs that they never had
BREAKING: Amazon just announced that it is canceling plans to open up another headquarters in New York City after widespread pushback from local residents, organizers, activists, and thoughtful elected officials. The deal was awful from Day 1 and the process was corrupt.

Good. I don't see why the richest man in the world needs billions in tax cuts to bring his company to Ny. Taxpayers already foot the bill for every thing else why should we pay for private companies too

New York would have been subsidizing those jobs with $3 billion in tax breaks. It would have displaced a ton of working class families in the neighborhood by driving up rent.

Sorry I normally agree (sometimes blindly) with u but this was bad for NYC and it's residents, it was bringing jobs (a variety in terms of talent) and a real estate safety net the city and tri state desperately needed it.
