As a Houstonian, I’m really confused by this backlash. Our DA is against mass incarceration. Hiring more prosecutors doesn’t automatically lead to mass incarceration, especially if hired by a DA who is pro-reform, which Ogg is.

I’d prefer that SHE hire new prosecutors - because there’s a serious backlog - than wait for a Republican DA to be elected & hire prosecutors like we’ve had in the past! I’m sure those sitting in jail for months would appreciate their cases proceeding, rather than being in limbo.
