Conservatives are simultaneously scared to death of @AOC and so creepily obsessed with her that they are tying themselves in knots with competing/contradictory lies about her.
You have to laugh to keep from crying, but it’s actually dangerous and deeply problematic.

70% taxation
-
Glad you said this one. She never said this. She said we would/should have a marginal tax rate where the richest of the rich are taxed at 70% on every dollar they make above $50 million per year. In other words the first $50 million per year is not even taxed at that rate

The list is LONG but the most dangerous by far is offering people an income even if they are unwilling to work. UNWILLING. That’s bad for society and the person receiving the money. Steals their self worth. Terrible idea.

The Green New Deal in its entirety and that fact that she lied about what it was proposing.
-
Explain?
-
Yes, please explain. What's dangerous about the Green New Deal? The status quo seems pretty dangerous to me. What lies are you referring to?
-
The fact that the version they posted originally was taken down after she got laughed at and now they claim it never existed, only to be proven wrong again with proof she did post it, and then for her to admit yeah it was posted by mistake.
-
I have a friend who has worked for decades in renewables who disagreed with some early parts of the Green New Deal. Guess what? AOC's office is listening to people like that. A good thing if you ask me! If you have a specific policy critique you should reach out to her office!

-
Okay if it was just a draft for public opinion then why did they remove it? They should have left it up and take the criticism like a pro. Instead they deleted and lied about it.
-
Yeah that I do agree with. Although there is something to be said for doing more basic homework first if the ideas are very early stage. To be clear, I don't condone lying but it does seem common in DC. And when everything is under the microscope I'd also take a bit more time.

4. Affordable housing policies. Those never worked. Ex: Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which caused both a housing boom and bust and the banking system to collapse. Meanwhile, Congessmen and Congresswomen pocketed good money from these institutions.

Almost as though there were done open loopholes to take advantage of, whereas a government-run program would be, by definition, required to keep such practices aboveboard and therefore subject to civilian oversight. Weird.

I will. The idea that being factual incorrect when you are a policymaker and justifying that using morality is terrifying. Based upon what standard of morality? If you cannot see the inherent danger in this I suggest spending some time contemplating it.
