Here's something that concerns me that I see. Voters saying I won't vote for candidate ABC because in 2013 they voted for XYZ. But your preferred candidate has also had some bad votes. Just say you prefer your person, but don't blame your lack of support of someone on 1 vote.

What if that one issue is specifically about your civil rights? I don’t think it’s fair to ask someone to vote for someone who has specifically worked to dehumanize you.

Anyone who has voted anti-choice. Bodily integrity for women is a civil right. I won’t every vote for someone who does not recognize my right to control my own reproductive health.

Not a one vote example, but Tulsi Gabbard is not someone I would ever support in a primary because her active work to harm people like me. It’s my experience that straight people think she automatically gets forgiveness.
