What if that one issue is specifically about your civil rights? I don’t think it’s fair to ask someone to vote for someone who has specifically worked to dehumanize you.

I agree. Can you give me a 1 vote example of that?
-
Anyone who has voted anti-choice. Bodily integrity for women is a civil right. I won’t every vote for someone who does not recognize my right to control my own reproductive health.

I look at long term track record. Many of these candidates are claiming to be populist left, but they're really not. Actions speak louder than words.
-
Absolutely, and holding them all to the standards that they have publicly set is paramount to electing a truly representative government body.
-
If a candidate is asking me to forgive past behavior, I need to see genuine growth.
-
Absolutely. I rep for
@BernieSanders, but I know he is not perfect. But when I compare his genuine record against those who have officially launched their campaigns, it is his genuine authenticity that keeps me coming back.

I can forgive a bad vote. I have a harder time forgiving someone with a history of hateful positions and attitudes over a significant period of time, even if it was several years ago.

Respectfully, It's the pattern of votes combined with donations. Booker accepted more money in the senate from wall street than any other candidate for his 2014 campaign, that should be disqualifying, he still takes charter school money- also disqualifying.

Lol what? You should absolutely judge a candidate by their voting record, and everyone’s going to value each vote differently depending on how important that specific issue is to them. One persons “bad vote” is another’s deal breaker. Your tweet makes no sense.

There is a BIG difference between the primary and the Big Election. I won't vote for candidate ABC because they voted for XYZ is primary talk, and not unreasonable. But in The Big Election, obviously, we need to learn from our mistakes and vote to Not End Life On Earth.

It’s simple for me. I will never forgive
@SenSanders for carrying on his anti-HRC campaign long after he had no chance, and for encouraging disruption at our convention and not forcefully calling out the misogynistic vitriol -
This. If I’m forced into it because he wins the dem nom I will vote for him. But I’ll fight him hard to see that doesn’t happen. And the bernie band wagoners just reinforces mine & many others’ feelings.

I want to vote for a candidate who is a committed Dem and not someone who rails against the party for his entire career until he uses it twice to run for President.

Harris, Booker, and Gillibrand all have more than 1 vote histories of not being progressive or populist. For them to suddenly act like they are and want our votes is disingenuous and suspicious.

It’s public record what each candidate voted for. But when the audio doesn’t match the visual and it’s public record they take corporate kick backs no it’s a hard pass. You can’t be one way then change now you’re running for POTUS it’s fake AF.
