Yesterday I apologized to Clarissa Brooks privately, but today I want to apologize publicly. In an attempt to address my sincere concerns with her, I basically traded my hurt for hers, and that's not OK. I'll do better. "She felt" you know what dude, I've heard language like that before. She didn't feel. What you did was impactfully abusive. End of story. And you dont see that. Nah. I'm out. Peace.

His words "she felt" were him directly acknowledging the impact of his actions on her. Re-read that apology, without the jaded glasses, and see if you reach the same conclusion bc these were the words of someone who is not only apologizing but has a plan to be better.

I get that there are multiple takes. But to me, hes still speaking in a projective rather than possessive manner. Ie, its about her and not what he did. Maybe I'd extend more trust if there was less smoke in his past? Maybe he'll do better? Dunno, dc. Taking my leave though.

I hear you. Did you read the whole thing? I own my role. Period. No ifs ands or buts.
