My family has visited and camped in National Parks all over the country. I doubt Trump has even visited many of them. He damn sure hasn’t camped in them and seen just how beautiful and special they truly are. They are being destroyed right now and it’s heartbreaking.
I can't help but feel that the reason they've been left open is so that later on down the line he can justify selling them off to private interests because of all the damage that's being done to them right now.

Actually, they already did. More like $25 billion. It included provisions to deal with the thousands of Dreamers already here and tRump balked at it.

It is glaringly apparent the president is completely detached from nature and could give two shits about its preservation. When I think about it, his lack of empathy is a little more understandable through this lens...
Our national parks are tremendous treasures, to the point of evoking the sublime, that feeling of awe towards something so much greater than yourself. Donald trump has never experience this, to him, there is nothing greater than himself.
How many GoFundmes are up to help fund the cleanup of the parks, to be watchful of the destruction of precious vegetation and life? Just because the gov isn’t open doesn’t mean the people can’t be assisted with maintaining the upkeep of the areas.
I’m upset that people are taking this time to destroy these parks when we should all be responsible for caring for this land. So so so heartbreaking.
That upsets everyone but it has nothing to do with the shutdown...it’s bad people who would do the same if nature was open or closed.
I’d bet he hasn’t been to any. I became vegan to do my part in helping save our planet because of my experiences in our National Parks. Trump is a disgrace who doesn’t even understand the true greatness of the country of which he is the so-called president.
I don't know that he would see nature as majestic or beautiful at all.
