I would argue Gore didn't lose, but Obama won by much bigger numbers

I want to add there's been a misappropriation of the words "racism" and "sexism," formerly by the far right, but now also on the left There is no such thing as racism against white people, etc! These terms have important meaning for real oppression, not white male fragility
-
Amy, you are correct. I have had great difficulty explaining this even to people who are left leaning. As soon as I hear calling out reverse racism, I know what we are dealing with.
-
It's something I only heard from Trump supporters until recently. I can't believe people on our side lack the intellectual rigor to understand the import of these terms - esp in this conversation when 44 of 45 presidents are white and 45 of 45 male.

Please be careful not to sound like the dreaded elitist. Not everyone spends all their free time studying sociology and politics.

The great equalizer is $$$$. Fix this, you can fix the rest.

Hillary spent over a 565 million during her 2016 campaign. 200 million more than Trump. Money theory might not work.
-
Trump got more in-kind donations of free nedia coverage.
-
Free media coverage
, please explain that one? -
He spoke, media covered him. Fairly easy to understand.
-
True and the media chose to cover him the majority of the time. Good or bad they wanted to cover him. Is it fair to say ratings = dollars to their stations?
-
When I was in broadcasting, there were rules that said if you covered one candidate, you had to give equal (and like) coverage to the others. I remember making sure we only carried debates with most of the candidates present. Those rulrs have changed.

H. Clinton won nearly 3 million more votes. She didn't exactly lose either.

He was not Black. He was Mixed.
-
As a mixed person who always has to be forced into other people’s label because they’re too lazy to acknowledge “mixed” people even exist, let alone recognize we are on track to become the most populous “race”, I’ve been saying this since Obama got elected, but no one cares.
