1. I’m a Bernie guy - an alum of his campaign. I’m a fellow at the Sanders Institute. He’s my hero. Attacking Beto is counterproductive. Examine Beto’s record, that’s fine, but that goes both ways. EVERY candidate will have had bad votes, including Bernie.

Of course I think you do. I didn’t mean to be patronizing. And I don’t agree w folks who’ve called you “sell out” etc. I was just pointing out that I haven’t seen any bad faith Beto critique, & the focus here is ironic given all the bad faith Sanders and his supporters endure.

I'm confused. Where are all these attacks on Bernie from the Media? The media and his supporters have all but declared him the savior of the Democrats-(which he doesn't even belong to & demonizes every chance he gets) Serious question though- what attacks?
-
These all took place in 24 hours in March 2016. Since the presidential run, he’s mostly been ignored, since there’s no reason to cover him.pic.twitter.com/eTXC9bfQvp

You call these attacks?

reporting what he says or his position on the issues? Seriously? Jesus take the wheel! Look up HRC & PBO and learn what an attack truly is. #jeez if these are attacks to you then real attacks is going to blow your mind!!

-
HRC was attacked, and more heavily than Bernie was. Doesn’t mean those articles weren’t attacks though.

Nothing in your original thread indicates that you differentiate between policy critique and "attack", or what constitutes an "attack" in your opinion. The widespread aggrievedness expressed by Beto supporters at pure policy critique might indicate you're ignoring something...

Wow. Sorry, but as a huge fan of your work, this is very disappointing to see. Talking down to her as if she accused you of ignorance when all she did was point out the fact that the "attacks" on Beto are nothing more than an extensive look into his voting record is unsettling.

Honest answer: I don't think you know the difference. If you know the difference, why are you out here saying it's an attack on O'Rourke to examine his voting record?

Please discuss the distinction with
@neeratanden because she doesn’t seem to understand it. In the process, she’s the one who created the entire Beto v. Bernie narrative in order to make Bernie a bad guy when he’s never even mentioned Beto or vice versa.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Great use of the word ‘some’. Here! Let me try! Some people will read your message as a foil for anyone with s legitimate criticism of Beto and his record. YAY!! That was F.U.N.

If you do then why are you calling exposing
#Beto voting record and attack ? Why do you think a corporate shill such as he ' that's what he is ' should run , we don't#WeDontHavetime for centrists , he may be eloquent about racism but that doesn't make him decentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You still can't point to anyone of consequence on the left doing this attacking, Shaun. Show us where all this viciousness is. Show us where someone with influence has crossed the line. You can't, because this is yet again the militant center demanding total obedience.

Yes a lot of people see you right now pretending a policy critique is an attack. Every single progressive calling out Beto is doing it because of policy. Pretending otherwise is doing it in bad faith.

I agree Shaun, for example I got uncomfortable about counting money from people working in oil and gas companies on the same level as PAC

You're focusing on a tiny fraction of the criticisms and making them out to be representative of the larger group, which is patently false and does a disservice to the the need for said criticisms. (And yes, Beto should run so he splits the Biden/centrist vote, I agree)

I say you don’t. Or at least you’re willfully misunderstanding because it’s a popular opinion to hold right now with no risk.

People supporting Bernie are of course going to want as few people opposing him as possible. So you, as a supposed Bernie supporter, suggesting he should run is counter productive. Bernie supporters dont want ANY shill to run.
