2. Not a single person is going to run in 2020 that hasn’t had bad votes, bad quotes, bad positions, or supported something that doesn’t match your full ideology. This includes Beto, but also includes Bernie, Biden, Kamala, Booker, and every other candidate.
3. We can critique records, we can ask questions, and can do so publicly, but when it bleeds over into demonization or destructive conversation, you are doing more harm than good. None of these candidates will be flawless. None of them. We can’t tear each other apart. Can’t.
4. Beto took these past few weeks off to be with his family. He’s made that very clear. He deserved that space. He campaigned his ass off for two straight years. He appears to have even asked his team to just stand down and not even respond to the attacks.

We are criticizing people who are painting a dishonest picture of who Beto is. He is not a progressive by his own words and deeds. So people who pitch him as a progressive with progressive values need to be corrected I am not allowing the false narrative to develop before hand

The only realistic alternative to any of these possible Dem candidates is an immoral, intolerant Repugnant-can. And don’t tell me about “good Republicans.” Anyone who is “good” wouldn’t still be a member of today’s GOP.

We sure can, and we will. What are valid critiques you call attacks. Beto's voting record with Repubs is twice what it statistically should be, he voted to export petrochemicals while rallying for climate protections. He's great for TX dems, but not Nat'l dems. We can do better.
