The first debates in the Democratic Presidential Primaries are in 6 months. That’s nothing. Anybody that tells you it’s too early to be talking about candidates either doesn’t understand the process or deliberately doesn’t want you to be a part of it.
HUGE decisions are being made this week and next by about 35 different leaders and politicians considering running for the Democratic nomination. They are hiring staff. They are recruiting their teams. They are building their websites and political platforms. It’s near.
I don't mind the concept of having 18 months to discuss the next person to be in that office. I just hate the circus atmosphere. I hate pundits treating it like a game. I hate the antics and the childishness and callous behavior. I hate the lack of good faith in the process.
It’s not too early to talk about the candidates. It’s too early to talk about the horse race nonsense when the horses haven’t even declared they’re racing, and that’s 90% of current MSM 2020 coverage.
hopefully they happen before the ny party registration deadline this time. last time they were after so no one could even join the party to support a candidate.
It's not too early, I'm just not ready for it yet. 
I've been worried that Democrats haven't already come out with a few really strong contenders, ones that rise above the rest. We need to rally behind one person and we need to do it really soon. Splitting the vote is just going to screw us over again.
I totally agree, we need someone that is willing to work for the people on the right&on the left. Give a good look at the rising Beto O'Rourke from Texas. Had he not been stubborn not wanting Obama to come to Texas to support him, Obama would have pulled more black voters out.
Let's talk. But not start arguments. We need all liberals motivated to vote when it comes time!

It's more like too late. The Dems have already decided on Joe Biden it seems. Because they hate America I guess? And democracy? And maybe they like having Trump in office, I guess?
Why are there so few damn debates scheduled
The discussion and debates need to focus on policy positions, be civil, and show a distinct contrast with the circus the GOP primary was! Let's hope they remind the Country what intelligent discourse and decorum looks like!
