do you really find this "disturbing"? he's not severely out of touch. give the guy a break. I assume you want another candidate (BERN?) but there is a lot of love for Biden, even if he doesn't fit what you want. he and others can absolutely beat the weakened trump of 2020.

The same Democrats that spearheaded the gargantuan presidential campaign failure are back using the exact same calculus as before but somehow expecting a different result this time around!

Isn’t that the definition of insanity

By anybody Biden means a decent, clean candidate. He's right.

Underestimating Trump was a huge, common mistake last time. However, Trump won't be around (politically) to contest 2020

I totally agree speaking for myself I would have bet the house I was so sure he would not win . I would be homeless now. We will take nothing for granted from now on. We will tread carefully and analyze and pick a candidate that will attract Independents as well.
-
I’d never bank on “independents”. The outreach needs to occur with those in the margins, minorities whose issues are never made a priorities in candidates’ platforms. And the candidates need to truly believe in and reflect those priorities and values.
-
Then we need to get out the vote. Nobody can afford to skip.

Wrong, its the first sign that someone is not freaked out or panicked and knows the fundamentals and turnout are very much in favor if any D right now.

Trump cheated with Russia’s help. You seem to think he won with cunning or some hidden talent. It wasn’t a failure of imagination on the part of other candidates; he cheated.
-
I agree but from my experience of four decades covering politics a candidate should never make a statement like that. Especially not in this environment

Trump will get a second term if politicians still think this way.

The Democratic candidate beat Trump in the popular vote by over three million votes, and Trump didn't beat those 17 Republicans one at a time - they cannibalized each other in the early melee until the only not-Trump choice with a chance was Cruz.
-
Don't underestimate him but don't buy what he's selling about himself either
-
Lets be clear Clinton underestimated him immensely and didn't listen to the state by state polling data and preferred to look at the national polling (which was accurate due to her winning the popular vote). We need a candidate that can win purple states and not ignore them
-
just able to carry the "blue wall" would be nice but yeah
