I tweeted something similar this morning Shaun. We are going to have to unpack our party’s internalized sexism and racism.

Further, the 2 Democrats to get the most votes in history in a presidential race are Obama ‘08 and Hillary ‘16 - a black man and a woman (the latter of whom likely would have won without Russia). So why the need for this white male savior complex? Sexism and misogyny.

I love Beto but Abrams is way more qualified. She has both a law and a business background, proven leader and her legislative experience has her on the good side of very important issue. She would have my vote. Also, she could win.
-
Um, simply no. Beto is more qualified. He was US congressman. He's also far more dynamic and telegenic. I love her, but she seems a little flat in her delivery. Both are qualified, but he is more so.
-
John, we’re going to have to agree to disagree. I’m a Beto fan, gave to his campaign, but Abram’s breadth of experience across law, business, public service and activism is unmatched.
-
Cool, all good friend. I think the candidates relationship with the TV camera is the single most important quality. The best TV communicator wins. Beto has an Obama like magic with the lens. It's innate, and it will carry him very far.
-
It might carry him far, but he'd eventuallt face the same isssue Obama himself once had to work through: real or perceived inexperience. And we know how well that worked out for him. Being telegenic and having the legal & legislative experience are not the same talents.
-
Wait... It worked out fine for Obama. Are you saying it didn't? Also important: who can handle Trump's attacks? It has to be either a fighter who can equal Trump or a uniter who it bounces off. I think the latter is a better approach and Beto would be great for it.
-
People bringing up Beto’s lack of experience when we have a reality TV star as President just feed this ridiculous double standard

I'd be thrilled with either Abrams/Harris or Harris/Abrams
-
I'd be selling my plasma twice a week to donate to a Harris/Abrams (or Abrams/Harris) ticket.

I hope she stays around and brings that brilliance to the political realm leading up to 2020.

Does she WANT to be POTUS?? I got the feeling that Gillum is clearly interested in national office but that her passion for reforms in GA seemed paramount. At least now. But 100% agree that she’s impressive and should be on every shortlist! I want her to run DNCC.
