I hope @BetoORourke runs for President.
I truly believe he could win.
I just think the Democratic primaries need the very best we have to offer and he's in that group to me.
Yes, I have a few substantive policy differences w/ Beto, but I believe he'll address them.

I think we need to take a step back and figure out what we want out of the next president before we start talking about who should be the next president. Devolving the debate into a battle between personality cults is kinda how we got Trump in the first place.
I don't disagree. I'm having those talks and tweeting at the same time. I am a big advocate of a competitive primary.

No doubt, but I think there’s a fundamental question of what exactly the role and positions of a Democratic President should be that needs to be answered before we start to throw out names. We won’t win if we chase a dream without a plan for what’s possible.

If we have a competitive primary, we'll have the Dem nominee chosen by superdelegates again. They can vote after the second ballot. We need to be able to cinch the nominee on the first vote with a strong progressive like Sanders, or we're going to have four more years of Trump.

I don't get the appeal. He couldn't beat Ted Cruz..like Hillary couldn't beat Trump, despite all the money.

The appeal is that he’s literally the polar opposite of Trump in terms of his overall aesthetic. He’s young, charismatic, and about bringing people together and, in times like these when we have exactly not that, people find the foil attractive.
