People look at the Obama campaigns and look to copy the blueprint per say... Problem is that you don't have a Obama type candidate. That character and eloquence regardless of race, is rare.

Black women and Women of Color were the winners of the 2018 election cycle. That’s who the people want and who we should be running, in my opinion.

I don’t necessarily think the Dem nom has to be a white guy. However FL is a pure toss up yet Gillum still lost. GA is closer to a pure toss up than TX and Beto almost won. Same for Abrams. Point: all three of them would be great on the ticket so why crap on Beto?

I don’t see a path to the nom that goes through Iowa and NH for Abrams and Gillum. For me, it isn’t about trump. It’s about where these three candidates get their support and their money and Beto and has the type of small donor $$ for fast start against establishment candidates.

The Democratic party needs to get past Obama. That's one of the biggest issues. Everyone still misses the guy thats never coming back. Until someone who CAN run for president takes that vibe and leadership role from Obama... the party won't be the it needs to be.

I live in Trump country in Michigan. There’s no way a woman is winning the presidency here. We’re cool with a governor, that’s how far they’ll take it.

Shaun, its gonna take 52 white men and women and Tim Scott to defeat 45. Until the senate turns on Trump 2020 is up in the air. He will do anything to get elected to avoid the statutes of limitations.

I'm pleased to see this topic being addressed. It's bs that the nod needs to go to a white male. It needs to go to the best person for the job. Abrams was amazing. She embodies everything this country needs in a leader. Abrams never gave up. She's the fighter we need.

There are no more Obamas in the running right now. The closest is Beto. Period.

Beto ain’t Obama and he ain’t Bernie either. 1). There’s no Obama candidate as of now. Beto is barely Obama lite. 2). Beto is also lightweight Progressive, not a champion. He’s down with AIPAC just like Booker and Kamala. 3). Obama was Progress, but he was NOT a Progressive.
