We need new leaders without baggage to pick up the agendas of prior generations and run with them. And frankly, they should not be white and they should not be male. It’s weird how quickly culture has moved on from the fact that we‘ve one nonwhite president, and zero nonmale.

If Bernie is the nominee, I will campaign my heart out for him. But I think our nation needs someone who is not white and not male. We should be breaking ground and building a government that looks more like America of the future, not the past.

Agreed. Hell, I‘ll push like hell for anyone nominated, but I think it’s time for people who are not in their 70s to step into the front lines.

Agree on the first part definitely. Age shouldn't matter, but I get what you're saying.

My bad. Trying to be pragmatic and stumbled into ageism. My sense is we need to make as stark a contrast as possible between our candidate and Trump, and someone who represents generational change, who is nonwhite and nonmale, and who is a stable informed human is our best bet.
