Democrats are going to struggle to say that Bernie Sanders is too old to run for President when they realize that Nancy Pelosi is one year older than Bernie & Joe Biden is just one year younger.

His response is pretty clear. Bernie is not reflective of the party or the direction we want to go in. Why you’re so insistent on shoving Bernie down our throats is beyond me.

Because he, and he alone has proved time and time again he fights for middle class, minority, and poc policies along with being the only candidate/politician to exemplify a 40 year track record of doing such. Show me other viable candidates and I’ll listen.

Pelosi is preparing for retirement and her successor will be selected and groomed. She's not running for President. Sanders will be too old to serve and 4-year term starting in 2020. He will make a good campaign surrogate. That's all.

She may not run for President, but that doesn't mean she may not be the next one.

He's saying that that's what progressive dems n Bernie have run campaigns on. New blood n new energy for the Dem party. Most Bernie supporters were the ones calling for Nancy to step aside cuze she was too old n establishment but then turn around n want to make Bernie President.

The argument really isn't that he's too old - its that he's been in congress for 40 years, and while Pelosi is an effective leader in the House, the same is true for her, although she's not running for President. Biden is a great guy, but what an awful campaigner.
