On point, Shaun. Rahm feels his corporate wing of the party losing their power. And... He was behind Hillary Clinton in 2016. Who, ya know, LOST to Obama in 2008.

What Rahm doesn’t get us that if
@BetoORourke can do this well in a red state vs. established Republican, imagine what he can do nationwide. Also, this is the problem with the Democrats: tearing down their own is the surest path to re-electing our current nightmare. -
Fair point on doing well in a red state.....but Rahm didn't 'tear' down anyone. He just voiced a pretty well rounded opinion. No need to use overblown rhetoric here to create an enemy out of someone.
-
Chicagoan here; Rahm is the enemy. His neoliberal agenda has only accelerated class divisions in the city. He recognized that he could not win a 3rd term in office due to his handling of Laquan McDonald's murder. His wing is descendant in the party (finally) and he can't cope
-
If you think police violence against black citizens and their subsequent 'handling' would suddenly end based on who is elected, I'd doubt you have a firm grasp of the real problem. Seems like you are using a social issue as a tool to scapegoat an elected official you don't like

i liked beto until i realized he's voted to deregulate wall st, rejected medicare4all, and bent the knee to the criminals running Israel. he's a centrist in progressive clothing and will lose to trump as he did to cruz.
-
He’s on the forefront of Medicare4all?
-
no, he's for ACA and medicade expansion. i also kind of just assumed he was pro M4A but he is not.
-
If that’s true, is that surprising? He’s going to do what’s best for his constituents. And what’s best for El Paso and for Texas is Medicaid expansion. If he represents the entire country then I would have no doubt in his support for M4A
-
how would M4A not be what's best for texans? its not like the ACA or medicade has given EVERYBODY healthcare. how is a policy that gives everyone health care not better than a program that makes the already expensive healthcare slightly less so?

Beto aint Progressive. He's a centrist. That's my only concern
-
How do you see him as a centrist? He wants universal health care and marijuana legalization...Are you from Texas?

The more that I hear from Rahm, the more that I understand how Obama’s tenure got so derailed and moved onto to a bunch nonsense. He was a HORRENDOUS choice as Chief of Staff, especially if your intent was more Progressivism.

So if a democrat wins the nomination who happens to take PAC money, you'd still not vote for he/she against Trump?
-
Definitely not from AIPAC.
