Losses in FL, MS, & GA this election season are way more layered/nuanced than most understand. The oppositional organizing on the ground in all of those states grew leaps and bounds. The losses hurt, & were fueled by bigotry & voter suppression, but people are fighting back.
To be clear, White Mississippi elected an open flagrant bigot to the US Senate last night. And did so proudly with the full endorsement of Trump. I see the celebrations right now on white supremacist message boards. They are claiming it as a full victory for their movement.
Georgia will swing in 2020 or 2024. If Abrams didn't lay the foundation for change, it wouldn't be possible. Gillum proved that progressive message can perform just as well as Nelson's centrist message in a swing state. Espy put Mississippi in play. That alone is tremendous.

Look at the state you are referring too.. still country good old boys! All the educated people looking for change move to one area of those states. It’s way more backroads and hillbillies and these 3 states then cities of mixed cultures!
Fact..I've been telling people about Florida for years but most who come only come to the major cities and beaches...which are ALL Blue counties.. it's the space in between that covers majority of the state that is occupied by bigots

I highly disagree with this statement. These races including MD race were much closer than previous year's elections and all with black candidates. Arguably they weren't aggressive enough or made silly base stabbing decisions during the general election that brought them down.

Our ADD culture has programed people to expect results "now!". In all of human history.. change has been a struggle and "two steps forward, one step back". I knew Beto wouldn't win here in Texas... But said he'd get 48% of the vote (inching up a few points every election)
Yes and now he has a massive voter system. He needs to use that to win local elections and state elections. Then get out and start targeting the ppl that didn't vote and register them for the next time.
