The fallacy of " good guy with a gun" ; The police do not ask questions when they see a black man with a gun; they shoot. The security guard shot and killed by police after he stopped an active shooter in Chicago is another prime example;

Don't American police receive basic gun and law-enforcement training? I'm not being facetious but it seems unbelievable how many law-abiding, upstanding (black) people are shot dead by police.

Lots of police departments are being sent to Israel to be trained by its military and taught to see us as the enemy. Police are equipped with military equipment as a way to get around posse comitatus. This is wrong on every level!

I often go at least two or three days without seeing any news or social media. I do this because I NEED to in order to preserve my sanity. Inevitably, someone says, “Did you hear...?” and I dive back in...Today, it was this story. How are we not all on antidepressants ?!

First, stay off of social media when you need to. It's fake. People say things to each other here they would never say in real life. Second, get your news from a variety of sources. It's not all bad, even though it seems that way. Finally, get outside, hug a puppy, enjoy the sun.
