Hoover Police are still claiming he may have been involved in the initial altercation that led to the shooting. I can't, with a clear conscience, believe them.
EJ was a licensed gun owner. Police officer literally shot him in the face. Proud cops, thinking they just took out the shooter, let the shooter get away. And even if he was, so what? Getting in a shopping mall scuffle in no way excuses cops misidentifying him, shooting him, letting him die unaided at their feet, and leaving the real shooter unidentified and at large. Even if we believed them, it would absolve them of nothing.

We need to retrain police officers. They think they're soldiers in a war zone yet lack the training, discipline or the skills to effectively pull it off. We need to demilitarize our police force and retrain them to be civil servants instead of bullies with guns.

Bullies tend to drift towards positions of power. This is a known psychological fact and we can see it in every day society. Trump, is the best example currently. Cops, are also an example.

I can't take anymore of this. So upsetting. I am going to break ranks with many and just say that I see no need for the second amendment. In the last 150 years, I don't see how it has benefitted anyone. No need for good guy w/a gun if there is no bad guy w/a gun.
