Whatever rules of engagement domestic law enforcement seem to be getting trained in is completely different than the RoE I had in a damn combat zone in Iraq. Way more lax. It's insane.
But for real though... These people really shouldn't have guns until the training AND the police culture itself changes.
They do need extensive training. Our police forces have become militarized and VERY aggressive. The no longer "serve and protect", they have become overlords and deadly. Most are military MP's from occupied nations where they do "lord" over the populace! Scary!

My husband pointed out that a lot of officers are former military and that they may be reactive because of that.
How many people who don’t support kneeling during the anthem, because it’s offensive to veterans will stand up for this veteran? I want to see the outcry for justice from those folks.
As a veteran, I have always said that when I took an Oath to support and uphold the constitution and the freedoms and rights of all Americans, I took that to mean ALL Americans, and ALL Freedoms and Rights. Not just the ones I pick and choose. #AVetWhoSupportsThoseWhoKneel
