You'd be hard pressed to find a single fair political expert in the nation who thinks @StaceyAbrams would've lost in Georgia without years of voter purging and suppression stacked against her.
She fought a inspirational, valiant race to the very end.

One thing I said is that @StaceyAbrams didn't just lose in 2018 - Republicans put the mechanisms of voter suppression in place every year for a decade.
We must fight back with the same long term vision
What I don’t understand is why the DNC does nothing to stop/fight this year after year it’s the same thing. Why does the Democratic Party wait until it’s voting season to fight voter suppression/gerrymandering in the courts? Help me understand, I don’t get it.
Corporate Dems are afraid of voters too, hence why blue states like New York have draconian rules like you must register as a Democrat 8 MONTHS in advance to vote in their primary elections. They're more afraid of these progressive challengers rejecting PAC money than the GOP.
This isn't hyperbole either. In Maryland, after Ben Jealous beat the DNC favorite for the governor nomination, several Maryland Democrats backed the GOP Governor over Jealous. Jealous and Abrams were both Our Revolution endorsed candidates who likely wouldn't fall squarely in behind the party line. And if they became governors they probably would have fought voter suppression, making it easier for people to vote, which doesn't favor establishment Dems.
Currently voting is cumbersome in most states, always happening on a workday and usually with limited polling places with long lines in heavily populated areas. Some states still don't even have early voting. These obstacles favor those with more free time and likely more income.
And higher income voters tend to favor candidates who protect the privilege afforded to them of being more wealthy, hence establishment Dems constant desire to win over likely Republican voters living in the suburbs. It's their only path to victory without winning over the poor.
They could fight voter suppression and win over the poor but a lot of establishment Dems aren't willing to enact any meaningful policy that would anger their corporate donors. Make voter suppression illegal. Every state moves to vote-by-mail which eliminates issues of lines, voting machines, ID, etc. Give DC, Puerto Rico, and other territories statehood to expand the vote to more Americans.
