It is disturbing to me that in 2018 the Democratic Party has NEVER had a Black woman in a leadership role in Congress. Black women are the lifeblood of the party. It's a sin. And the new incoming Democratic majority MUST fix this. PERIOD. NO EXCUSES.

I won't be endorsing any candidates for President that recently took happy photos with Benjamin Netanyahu or have refused to speak out against the hundreds of unarmed Palestinians who've been slaughtered by Israel this year. I don't have many dealbreakers. That's one for me.

I have a list of 8 people that I would consider not only endorsing for President, but would stop everything and throw my whole life into helping them get elected. But even for those 8, I'm going to evaluate their platforms, their senior staff hires, and their actual history.

I like Beto a lot and hope that he either runs for Senate in Texas again, since the other seat is about to open up, or runs for President. I think he's qualified to do both. But I also feel just as strongly about Andrew Gillum & Stacey Abrams. I'd seriously consider all 3.

If Democrats think they are going to run another all-white presidential ticket this time around, that's not gonna fly.

I am so with you on this! I've actually been really surprised with how forgiving people are with GWB. Michelle Obama too. I don't understand it at all and it makes me think we'll never see justice in Government. People forget too quickly and go back to business as usual.
-
Think with Michelle it is the personal concern and care Bush and family showed to Obama family. It’s detailed in her book. When someone is very kind to you in a stressful time, it greatly affects feelings about them.
-
Imagine if Pres & Mrs Obama had said sorry no we want nothing from you. We think you are a criminal. Smh it's not that easy and when you have manners and are educated you don't mistreat people who are kind to you based on their politics.
-
I hear what ur saying IF it was anyone else. GWB is a greedy corrupt war criminal and hasn't changed. I'm sorry, but you can still treat someone kindly w/out making him your BFF. Cuz to me, it's not about politics - it's holding people accountable so it doesn't happen again.
-
Aren't the Obamas 2 of the most intelligent and thoughtful people we've had in the WH? I think they would know who to be friends with and who 2 keep at arms length. Apparently, Pres Obama doesn't view him as a corrupt war criminal.

-
Yep. And, that's exactly the problem.

People keep talking like Biden is the lock for the democratic nominee, But If Beto O’Rourke decides to run, he will have a HUGE wave of support behind him.

Biden is too soft on climate change, doesn’t support Medicare for all, has supported pipelines, Wars, and “clean coal”. Believes marijuana is a “gateway drug” and “legalization is a mistake”. He’s a horrific candidate and WILL LOSE undoubtedly.
-
Biden also made it impossible to discharge student loan debt through declaration of bankruptcy, creating a bubble that will eventually burst & collapse the economy if the housing market bubble bursting doesn't do that first, fuck him & his permanent debt slavery.

You’ll support the eventual dem nominee even if your chosen candidate loses because that’s how it works. Taking a stand now is disingenuous and nothing more than an attention grab unbefitting one with a national platform. Stop it.
-
Attention grab? He’ll be viciously attacked from every Dem there is for speaking out against Biden and Harris. Yeah he’s def looking for that kind of attention. Also, you don’t seem to understand how a primary works.

I like him because he can stand up to trump. He doesn’t let hair grow on his tongue! And I also like his diplomacy. That he can bring bipartisan diplomacy so as not have constant gridlock. Diplomacy and working across the aisle is a skill that not everyone possesses.

It was a long time ago, but let's not forget the way he treated Anita Hill.
