I have several things to say this morning and they don't all fit neatly into one article so I'm just going to put it all out here right now because some key decisions are being made and people are being told to shut up and keep their thoughts & input to themselves. Never that.

I like Joe Biden. I like his toothy grin. I think his friendship with Obama is cute. I think he's relatable. But to see him this week proudly give George W. Bush a humanitarian award stemming from the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan deeply disturbed me. Those wars are criminal.

I won't be endorsing any candidates for President that recently took happy photos with Benjamin Netanyahu or have refused to speak out against the hundreds of unarmed Palestinians who've been slaughtered by Israel this year. I don't have many dealbreakers. That's one for me.

I have a list of 8 people that I would consider not only endorsing for President, but would stop everything and throw my whole life into helping them get elected. But even for those 8, I'm going to evaluate their platforms, their senior staff hires, and their actual history.

I like Beto a lot and hope that he either runs for Senate in Texas again, since the other seat is about to open up, or runs for President. I think he's qualified to do both. But I also feel just as strongly about Andrew Gillum & Stacey Abrams. I'd seriously consider all 3.

If Democrats think they are going to run another all-white presidential ticket this time around, that's not gonna fly.

She never said that. That is not true.
-
Did you not read the article? Her office argued in federal court for that very thing and that is a quote from the article. I read the source documents.
-
The way you worded it, it sounds like you are saying that's a quote FROM her. But she never said that. She reversed that action btw: https://thinkprogress.org/california-attorney-general-says-her-offices-defense-of-prison-labor-evokes-chain-gangs-5c768fd447a4/amp/?__twitter_impression=true …

Again, her lawyers argued this before a federal judge in her name on her behalf. And the judge had to ORDER her office to do more. I'm equally troubled by her saying what her own lawyers argued in federal court shocked her. But this was not an isolated incident.
-
She oversaw 4,500 lawyers as the AG. She couldn't possibly know what each lawyer was arguing before the court. According to her, she learned abou it in the paper and was "shocked" and "troubled."

“Prison labor” is the neat little loophole we carved for ourselves to make sure that we never truly abolished slavery, we just called it a punishment while continuing to profit off of its use.
-
Now allow me to profit off of calling for its abolition. https://www.redbubble.com/people/artmarxthespot?ref=artist_title_name …pic.twitter.com/x2BMlG0axm

The DNC leadership is by and large a bunch of corporate, whoring, spineless dinosaurs who don't give a damn about their constituents. Citizens MUST support the newly elected REAL progressives and their platforms or be sold out by the DNC establishment again.

Heartbreaking to hear this about Kamala Harris, because she has conducted herself well as a senator, has an impressive resume, and shows leadership potential. Having said that, criminal justice reform is critical and her poor record on this will haunt her.
-
She didn't actually say what King says she did though. And her office reversed the decision. I'm not saying there aren't aspects of her record that deserve scrutiny, but this particular case is a misrepresentation.
-
Yes - hopefully her candidacy will provide an opportunity for a thorough public vetting, so we have a chance to learn more about her record and she will have a chance to defend herself against this criticism. Then we can judge fairly.
