I have several things to say this morning and they don't all fit neatly into one article so I'm just going to put it all out here right now because some key decisions are being made and people are being told to shut up and keep their thoughts & input to themselves. Never that.

Liberals are doing this to Cortez as we speak, telling her to shut up and take a seat, saying she’s “attacking” Pelosi by advocating for the platform on which she was elected. Saying “we can’t afford this shit with an election coming up”.
-
I’m starting to think liberals just don’t want to be challenged from the left. It will never be “the right time”. There must always be a unified front, and liberals are fine with silencing leftists if it achieves that goal.
-
This is a product of the “enlightened centrism” pushed by Schumer/Pelosi and their most ardent supporters who somehow, after the last two years, firmly believe that making concessions with Republicans is the way forward. That more of what got us here is the answer.
-
Log the midterms proved one thing, it’s that people want progress, and that’s taking shape in the elections of so many with strong leftist/labor platforms. America is sick of empty identity politics while the bottom falls out of our economy. Intersectionality or gtfo.

This is all well and good. Black leadership in Congress is a MUST. Agreed. But not Speaker of the House! That position demands expertise at management and leadership levels. PROVEN "know how" to get stuff done! At this time
@HouseDemocrats can't afford less. -
Wait... So "Black leadership" in Congress lacks expertise and leadership abilities? I'm going to give you a chance to clean that up a bit. We'll wait.

let’s not make it all about race. i spent the 80s doing 100s of hours of unpaid volunteer work for J. Jackson. i was one of few whites on that team. I supported Jackson for his vision, not his race

Keep talking, Shaun. This is critical that you use this platform you have fought for to say the things others find difficult to read. I am really proud that I somehow found you. Your strength gives me hope. Lots of it.

Really? I thought Obama’s administration was pretty diversified. I’m hoping for a black president or VP by the name of Kamala Harris in 2020.

Until last week, there were not even WOMEN in Leadership roles. When you get to the JOB, you don’t act like an activist. You take that energy and ASK to be put on a Committee yo make REAL change! Shaun- Why are you assuming that no black women are going to be on the committees
