Amazon is milking resources from two states taxpayers. What a horrendous practice.

I'm pretty sure that's not how this goes man.
I respect you. And I want good jobs in our city, but the deal you & others have promised to Amazon is an absolute NO-GO for the people.

Any mayor, city council person, city planner could merely have looked into what Amazon did to Seattle, aka the ruination of the Emerald city. But no, all they see are elite status back pats and the added tax base that actually costs more revenues than it generates.

NYC does have plenty of public housing and also rent control. That's how long time residents can afford to live there with working-class salaries. It's the newcomers who drive up the cost of housing.

NYCHA has a waitlist of upto 3-5 years. That doesn’t sound like enough affordable housing to me :/

@shaunking because 25,000 workers averaging $125k is a boon for local businesses, tax coffers, and the long term prosperity of the region. Crying over a few tax perks that cost pennies is short sighted (and why Liberals end up broke).
