And I can all but guarantee you that the poll worker who tossed the ballot had no training in handwriting analysis...

Legit can’t replicate mine. It’s the only thing I use a pen for anyway. And It’s something I do once every couple of months at most.

I find this comparing signatures troubling. People's hand writing can change based on health and injuries. The most effected would be elderly and disabled.

I’ve lived in Mass my whole life. I’m 33 and I’ve been voting since what 18. I’ve never experienced a long line or anyone giving me bullshit about anything. It’s crazy the fuckery going on in other states.

My grandfather lost some fingers in an industrial accident and the process to get his signature updated to allow him to continue voting was EXTENSIVE.

This almost happened to me. One of the other people in the polling place told me I was fine and go cast my vote.

I'm pretty sure the signature on file is almost 30 years old. I know I've messed with my signature since then. This seems arbitrary.

I've feared this. It's why when I'm in town on Election Day I go to the polls to vote in person, relinquishing my mail-in ballot. Who are these retirees charged to make such grave decisions? I don't even know what my signature looks like on their official records.

To add. This Congressman could have been in the Senate at this point.

I too while early voting Broward County. Poll worker said "can you make your current signature look like the one on your DL"? I had to review my DL to do so. My signature is light years away from when my DL was issued. I REALLY took my time to sign my name nicely on my DL

Word, I reckon a forger is more liable to match my signature exactly than I am.

It does suck, but we have to beat them at their own game. Tell your followers, if they vote absentee, to keep a copy of their current voter registration sig. File it where they will find it easily.
-
Then when you're ready to sign that envelope, pull that copy out, study it, practice it. so there aren't any squiggles or extra frills, THEN sign your envelope. DATE IT. If required, PRINT YOUR NAME as well. Don't give them an excuse to toss it.
-
If you don't know what your current signature looks like, go to your election board and request a new voter signature card, sign it, make a copy, with your phone if that's your only option, print it and file it away safely.
