100% agree, how about we also push for laws that say people running for Governor can't also maintain their job as Secretary Of State... The result of that election in Georgia will NEVER be seen as legitimate if Kemp wins (world class conflict of interest + craven candidate)
-
The ppl of Georgia have the right to free election men and women have died for this freedom
-
100% true story!!!
-
Friends of mine have died only a few feet from me for the freedom
-
I am assuming you mean in combat? I certainly have many friends who were in combat and also involved in civil rights violence etc. Regardless, the people who pay the price are almost always the same people disenfranchised...unacceptable, NO Taxation Without Representation

County clerk seats too. They process all the registrations and are the main point of contact at the local level. A lot of responsibility for very overlooked position.

Absolutely. And then, we need to recruit people to take over Boards of Education for CIVICS education, teaching honest histories about how far from a functioning democracy we have been.

Look to other countries. Canada has official election observers that have been well screened & trained at every poll, they do not have any party affiliation. They deal with issues & bring in higher officials if needed. It’s a PAPER & PEN vote so there is no real problems.
-
And if there's a larger than expected turnout, all they need to do is set up a couple extra fold-out tables and set up additional privacy screens.
-
Exactly. The results are hand counted with observers. Count is in as fast, don’t think I ever went to bed not knowing the PM. Maybe once back in 1977. Joe Who vs Trudeau days

Yep, no race is too small to be nonpartisan for me. I contacted the local democrats to see who they were endorsing.

I'd throw in AGs too. They're needed to protect the vote with lawsuits, etc.

I'd like to see voting administration in each state disconnected from partisan government offices, independently run with significant checks and balances.
