The richest country in the world cannot afford up-to-date, working ballot boxes? Why? And why isn't Election Day a national holiday so people don't have to squeeze out the time to vote between their hours of work? This whole system is ridicuolous.

Yes, it's the scanners that haven't been working. Including in reasonably well-off Windsor Terrace.

Gov't funded NASA put us on the moon. Voting machines are an example of the Free Market at work.

This is crazy. Here in MA, it's all paper ballots. Definitely cuts down on these issues, and reduces barrier to entry (no one is intimidated or confused by paper and a marker).

I also live in MA, it's definitely the way to go! Just voted a few minutes ago, in and out, piece of cake.

I have voted over the years in 2 different EU countries, always with paper ballots and never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Hours in line is not normal in most countries.

absolutely. computer systems were only adopted by states in the US that want control over their voters. luckily Massachusetts is a very blue state, so I've never had to worry about it myself.

It's amazing how there are a record number of machines that are mysteriously broken, at a time where record numbers of Democrat voters are turning up. Just a freak coincidence I guess.
