I get your rationale but you may want to caveat that. Some people's jobs will be threatened if they just 'take' off work. We as a community have to take advantage of early voting, voting caravans and other methods in order to get to the polls.

That it’s not a national holiday, hurts only those who will suffer from losing a day’s work. Rich GOP it does not affect. It’s all calculated to keep minorities and poor from voting. Please vote. People died for our right to vote.

Yeah it really should be a holiday, But to do that would mean more people would vote out these people that don't do their jobs.

Not everyone can afford to. Much more important to push early voting in all 50 states, so no one is disenfranchised if they can’t take off on Election Day
