That's exactly what I'm saying. Trump's election was a symptom of a greater problem already afoot. His presidency, and many of his actions, now cause new problems that must also be addressed.

You want to address the symptoms of a symptom? Great, but the danger is this: one is lead to actions against the symptom which are contradictory to the treatment of the illness. In so doing, rather than healing a patient, one is merely helplessly groping in the dark.
