I've said this before, but it's particularly relevant today. The United States is an unstable, fragile nation - and is much closer to a full fledged meltdown than most of us want to admit. We're in a very bad place.

I want to believe we can recover with leadership, on either side of the aisle, that is focused on the common good of humanity. But maybe I’m naive. Sigh.

...and it’s good to believe that,… We just have to stop with the whole “America always comes through“ bullshit. That doesn’t just happen. We have work at justice and wholeness and peace. Right now, that work is very, very hard.
