I want to believe we can recover with leadership, on either side of the aisle, that is focused on the common good of humanity. But maybe I’m naive. Sigh.

I believe it too Los. I’ll never stop believing that.
-
...and it’s good to believe that,… We just have to stop with the whole “America always comes through“ bullshit. That doesn’t just happen. We have work at justice and wholeness and peace. Right now, that work is very, very hard.
-
You are aware I do that work right?
-
I am aware that you do that, but more need to step up and help out.
-
When everyone does something no one person has to do EVERYTHING! America needs to stop being complacent. Democracy isn’t s spectator sport!

I fear what will happen if we have to endure 2 more years of Trump deconstructing our government & promoting policies of our adversaries. This entire administration is the most corrupt in our history & GOP are abetting every step of the way putting our democracy at risk.
-
GOP cheat to win using voter suppression, gerrymandering, crooked GOP supplied voting machines & Russian interference to assure Democrats will not have an equal playing field.
-
If Democrats are unable to establish some checks & balances on Trump & his minions, our democracy will be in tatters by the end of his reign, providing it every ends. You only need to look at what happened to Germany to fear Trump's intentions to remain in office:

https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/guides/z3bp82p/revision/1 … Vote Democratic now while you still can vote at all. It might be our last chance to save our democracy, before Trump decides to follow in the footsteps of his bestie, Kim Jong-Un, and declare himself Supreme Leader for Life.

Unfortunately, we've been there since 11/9/16.
-
Can't argue that.
-
Would have gone there, but it wasn't the U.S., then. If we're going to go back far enough to condemn what gave rise to all of this, irrespective of countrydom, we've got to go even farther. At this point, we might as well just blame the advent of humanity.
