Exactly. @MichaelAvenatti’s words NEED to be taken in context. Beyond that, Avenatti has been a consistent and strong ally of the left. Let us not forget that, lest we lose on the basis of disorganization... again.

In your first two lines you contradict yourself. When put in the context of his full statement there is no sensible way to conclude that what he said as racist, and in fact, in the context of his full statement, what he said could be seen as challenging racism present today.

I agree w/his thesis as it pertains to this sexist, racist country. I also agree that it's wrong. Where I DON'T agree is that we give into that limitation. As a woman, I won't. As a supporter of many people of color, I won't. But let's at least be honest about his actual meaning.

Maybe he's thinking strategically, which is the way 2 defeat 45. As much as I want to see a black woman run, white men aren't voting for that.Thats just facts. They wouldn't even vote 4 a white woman in 2016. Sadly, a progressive white male may close some of the 45 divide.
