I think being descended from a famous football family and being talented in a lucrative sport figure in way more than his race. Plenty of examples of athletes across the racial spectrum given more chances than they should have been afforded.

Kaepernick has never broken the law. He took his team to the Super Bowl. Why does this delinquent have a job but Kaepernick lost his because he is a social advocate?
-
Kapernick tapped into an issue which I don't think many people want to acknowledge (police brutality). When someone is faced with an uncomfortable truth they often lash out instead of exploring it. So, many NFL fans chose to get angry instead of introspective and here we are.

Of course a whit man doesn’t believe it was about race, and that right there is white privilege
-
Please read the history of Adam "Pac Man" Jones. He was given numerous chances in the NFL after criminal and dangerous behavior. I'm not arguing white privilege, I'm just saying it's not a great singular explanation for Mr. Kelly's history.
-
Pac Man Jones didn't heeeeey this many breaks Seems like you have an excuse for everything instead of just acknowledging the Truth
-
Also to note, that whatever he did in his youth, there are studies that can prove that not many black youth make it out for a second or a third time.
-
Very True There is a very slim margin of error for African Americans especially men make mistakes and not pay for it with their lives.

@CWSSuperFan this comment thread is full of rational discussion! -
It’s not white privileged. It’s good football player privilege.
-
There’s a black guy who just got inducted in to the HOF who KILLED A MAN!
-
PacMAN Jones has been in the league for 14 years and he’s been arrested 8x
-
Mike Vick played in the league for 6 seasons AFTER he got out of jail
-
Lawrence Phillips had multiple chances in the NFL despite multiple arrests.

What’s right? The Denver Broncos released him less than 24 hours after the incident. There is no “white privilege” occurring here. We get it Shaun, you hate white people. What’s worse is you have a voice, you should use it for good, it’s a shame you don’t.

Mike Vick. He literally went to prison for murdering dogs and got a second chance. I applauded Andy Reid for giving Vick a shot, which Mike Vick lived up to. The dude turned his life around. I feel like somehow though, according to you, this example doesn’t count
