Gotta give Lavar Ball some credit here. I think his league really put some pressure on the NBA

Watch some of these long time college coaches that have taken advantage of these one and done players or kids that come from a poor background all of sudden retire, leave current programs or take NBA jobs because they know their gravy train is over

That is great - college isn't for everyone and since colleges aren't paying the athletes what they deserve, this is could be a good alternative for some people.

So they could have accomplished much the same thing with, say, a $75K salary?

This will be great as long as the top prospects get to showcase their talent and not be frozen out by some 30 year old still chasing the dream. Or some incompetent 2nd rate coach that doesn’t know how to use the kid.

i believe players in the G League are able to sign endorsement deals, correct me if i'm wrong. i also want the NBA to do away with the one and done rule. with that rule in place, these players still have to slave in the NCAA for at least a year after high school.
