Appreciate this @shaunking. Want to explain why I'm planning on attending the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh. 1st, it's worth saying that the PIF nor any other Saudi fund is an investor of ours. Going last year was driven by optimism around MBS's reforms, not finances. /1

You must have misread me. Never strenuously defended him. I praised his positive reforms and I call out his moral crimes (Khashoggi, Yemen, & more). I admit I had high hopes for his ability and willingness to truly modernize, but it's impossible to ignore the cold reality there.
