Well, he would have had to leave his phones outside. Standard when entering most embassies, including Saudi embassies/consulate. Don’t think Istanbul was an exception.

I am so sad for his family, friends and coworkers. This attack on a journalist is outrageous and we should demand answers from the Saudis. I don’t have any faith in the POTUS to get to the bottom of it. Journalists, again - doing the heavy lifting.

I just learned last night that his fiancé was waiting for him outside and he never returned to her. He would not do that. Also, we KNEW he was in danger and failed to warn him.

That’s a good question. According to reports the US intercepted communications from Saudi officials saying they wanted to lure him back and “detain” him. The US has a duty to earn, but we didn’t.

It’s so awful, I’m sick for his family and I had no ideas his fiancé or girlfriend was waiting outside for him... and you know Trump won’t do anything because he likes those people you know kings and princes, people that kill reporters.
