I’m so glad for this verdict. Laquan’s case just broke my heart. He was a ward of the state with a mother who had also been a ward of the state and a very young mother. Our system failed them both. Just heartbreaking.
The judge just revoked all chance at bond. Officer Jason Van Dyke is now a convicted felon and will now go to prison. He faces mandatory minimum sentences and will likely spend 20-30 years in prison.https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1048285842723262465 …
