This is a MAJOR ISSUE within police departments....NEPOTISM! Family members should not be allowed to work in the same departments, ESPECIALLY if a family member is in a command position! Former LAPD Chief Charlie Beck’s family worked in LAPD.

Over a year before he murdered #AltonSterling supervisors for Baton Rouge Police Officer Blane Salamoni called him "borderline nuts" because of his erratic behavior.
Nothing happened. They called his dad - who oversees SWAT.
Then it all went away.

It would have been better for Alton if Blane's dad oversaw Blane and not just SWAT. Preacher and police officers have this in common often sons growing up without their dads attention.
