This is why I found Killer Mike’s defense of the NRA so troublesome. The NRA doesn’t care about black people owning guns. They’d rather they don’t.

It’s not a “bigger” problem because every citizen is supposed to be under the trusted protection of law enforcement which is a public service. Everyone should be able to trust the police, who are public servants after all.
