As someone from the Flint area, it makes my heart full whenever someone has the guts to mention it with their platform. It seems like everyone just forgot what happened and moved on. So many places these days, including Vehicle City, need help and the crisis is far from over.

West Virginia called out 45 as the nation’s biggest issue. These women are bringing it.
-
Imagine what women can do when they don't have to focus so much on their bikini bodies?

This was the first year Miss America didn’t have a swimsuit competition

Yet
#BoycottNestle gets as much as it wants for just a few pennies, which it then bottles and sells right back to Michigan-ites and beyond for#millions$. Again,#boycottnestle -
We’ve got the same issue here in Maine. Nestle (aka Poland Spring) has absolutely steamrolled their way into our very small town and are pumping water out and paying us next to nothing. We protested, petitioned, but nothing worked.
-
Yeah, same thing in My. Shasta CA. They and Dunsmuir have what's called the "cleanest water in America", and then after years ofeveryone fighting against it and not wanting it, it didn't matter. Now it's being pumped and bottled and sold back to them, at a huge price. Criminal.

Are rain-catchment systems illegal in Flint? Sounds like the real solution to this problem is less government centralization of natural resources. Billions of gallons of water falls from the sky every year. California lets all that water drain to Ocean and complains: drought

Republicans caused the crisis Flint

Really? Wow, the leftist
@guardian seems to have a different opinion on the matter.https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/may/04/flint-water-crisis-a-shadow-on-obamas-legacy … -
How is this when the state took over the city government & were the ones who put Flint back on the old water system they had been off of for almost 20 yrs because of the pollution of the Flint River to save money. They also didn't want to spend the money to stop pipe leaching.
-
Sounds like rain-catchments would help eliminate these problems in the first place. Decentralize and then you don’t have to worry about which bureaucrats to blame. The Republicrats and Democons have got you divided from basic resources and conquered with partisanship.

87% of the world's fresh water is less then 100 miles from Flint. Why would they need to catch rain water like my grandmother did for her well when I was a child?
-
Fresh water is not only in the ground or in lakes and rivers. The water cycle teaches us that the same fresh water is suspended in the air and falls to the ground as snow and rain. Why should we limit our fresh water to that which is not in the air?
-
Do you also suggest that we only use land-line cables for the internet? I mean, why use WiFi connections when there is all that cable in the ground and the walls, right?
