Exclusion from regular unions and unfair treatments allowed for many black professional associations that mirror majority associations and unions. There is almost always a mirror association for every association out there.

Thank you, makes sense historically. Not sure why they exist NOW, though, when officers of all ethnicities can join mainstream associations.

And they do, but often their interests and concerns aren't addressed or even heard and taken seriously. These associations add the same might to their words, thoughts, and concerns as do mainstream unions.
