What did we expect? That couple couldn't even handle the financial responsibility of putting gas in their car. It's no surprise they couldn't handle $400,000..

Yes and wanted to manage the money they raised for a grown man they did not have guardianship over. Please.
-
Exactly, so that he wouldn't "mismanage the money", lol. They figured better to spend it for him, so sad.

But I bet
@Kaepernick7 taking a knee is worse than this, right? -
Right? Taking money from a veteran after using him to raise money has to be better than taking a stand against social justice and not veterans... living while Black.

Sure there is. Liquidate their assets and put a lien on all future earnings until its paid off.

I guess that, technically, if you raise money for one thing and spend it on another, it's fraud. At the end of the day it's a reminder that these folks never viewed him as a real person and they didn't think anyone would care because he's homeless and no one would do anything.

People are going to stop giving to crowdfunding appeals, which sucks for sick people, because for some reason the wealthiest country in the world can't find a way to do health care that doesn't require people of average or low income to beg for their lives.

This has a severe impact on
#fundraising. We are trying to get help with temporary shelter, and now we see/hear so many stating they will not donate to an online#fundraiser again because of this. Please, read and RT our story if you can, thank you https://www.gofundme.com/Must-move-ASAP-from-this-lot …Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Those who donated should be able to sue, this was nothing more than a scam

She took a poor homeless man's last $20 to fill her gas tank...you think she'd feel bad about taking thousands more?

They just added personal betrayal to everything else the veteran has been through.

My thought is they raised money for him, regardless. While it may be unfortunate how it’s spent by the recipient, there are no caveats saying what it can/cannot be used for. Also, I think the organizers got money hungry!! Shame on them!

Absolutely. Regardless of his addiction or what he did with the funds, denying Bobbitt a penny of this money defrauds the individuals who donated to his cause.
