It takes zero courage at all to make millions of dollars, to not step out on a field of competition and to not acknowledge the freedoms we have in America that were bought and paid for with the blood of white and black Americans. You’re not saving anyone on Sunday afternoons.

Unfortunately Bill, you miss & will never understand why. You've not experienced historical legacy of being seen as "other", devalued, called monkey or dog, shot dead or thrown off buses for playing music. You can't know, not just historically but todayhttps://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2018/05/02/607663487/white-man-convicted-of-beating-black-man-at-charlottesville-white-nationalist-ra …

I’ve seen it 1st hand. It’s horrible. I’ve stood up against it and with those being treated as less than human. It’s crap. I agree. But kneeling in a locker room on Sunday afternoon isn’t changing a damn thing.

You are right. That blew my mind the 1st time I heard that conversation, I had no idea. I woke up to it in a hurry. They every right to exist and choose their life as anyone. I never understand why anyone would think or believe otherwise. Except that they’ve been taught to hate.
-
This conversation btw you and Karen, and Olga is why kneeling matters. You eventually shared your views on injustice and many people will read this conversation. It is brave to take a stance that continues the dialogue. A stance that our administration will publicly denigrate.
-
As always the people who object to the protest go on and on about freedoms, veterans and how much money the players make but they never mention the reason for the protest unless someone presses then on the point.
-
Because those other things are difference makers. But you’ll never get that because you can’t see both perspectives because you don’t desire to.

Where are the white players? God knows I'd be there in solidarity. We have a problem. Denial isn't going to fix it.

Have you ever notice that those who choose to stand are not condemned by those who choose not to? They believe in a person's right to stand, yet the same measure is not given out to those who choose not to.

It would be wonderful if all would be in solidarity of this issue. Team owners can't afford to fire them all of their players.
